A groovy activity all by itself. From practising solo to learning to work as a team, the classes vary so that everyone can have a go at it. Develop a sense of rhythm, style and coordination will be enough to have you dancing to, from and in your classes.
In a beginner Conga drum class, you will start the routine by reviewing proper technique and doing warming up exercises. Learn to hit the drum and make proper sounds, so you can communicate through the instrument to answer patterns played on a tumbadora. Improve your rhythm, coordination, sense of time, and also mechanical independence.
You will oversee the basic patterns of Cuban, Latin and African music and the specific rhythm arrangements. Additionally, practice specific exercises for improving speed and stamina. Group classes are the best way to learn how to work together as an ensemble. You will learn how to play solo on your conga and how to accompany others playing together.

What is a Conga?
A drum that combines African and Latino musical style, design and history. It has rich and natural tones that harmonize easily with other instruments & styles of music.
How many sizes are there for conga drums?
Three main sizes - the quinto (small/high), conga (medium/middle), & tumbadora (large/low).
